The Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization made up of business and professional people sharing a common goal: the economic development of the capital region.

Charlottetown Area Development Corporation (CADC) is a progressive organization that works to attract private sector development and investment opportunities to grow and expand commercial development in the Greater Charlottetown area. CADC has played an important development role in Charlottetown since 1974, in more recent years the corporation is known for the development of the Prince Edward Island Convention Centre and the Charlottetown Event Grounds. The corporation operates as a self-financed entity, receiving no government operating subsidies.

The City of Charlottetown is a flourishing community of approximately 36,000 people located on the south shore of Prince Edward Island. Charlottetown is the capital city of Prince Edward Island, and is called the "Birthplace of Confederation" after the historic 1864 Charlottetown Conference which led to Confederation.
